Subject Areas:

In this course, students will:

  • Be able to identify the 6 perfusion paramters used to identify shock in small animals
  • Be able to list at least 4 different categories of shock
  • Review treatment options for the most common type of shock ( hypovolemic shock)
  • Expolore the difference between compensated and decompensated shock
  • Review the common phycical exam findings associated with cardiovascular shock
